The CARAPACE Pendant Light by CTO Lighting is a contemporary reinterpretation of a 1920s classic. It features hand-spun metal shades in bronze and brass, with perforations that allow light to glow warmly from within, while the central opal glass diffuses illumination evenly. Its compact, symmetrical design delivers maximum visual impact, making it ideal for a variety of spaces.

CARAPACE can be suspended over a kitchen island or dining table in groups of three, or used as a low-hanging feature to replace a table or floor lamp, and is available with either a bronze oval chain with black silk flex or a bronze drop rod.

This considered refinement led to CTO Lighting being recognised as a British luxury lighting brand, with manufacturing rooted in the UK.CTO Lighting has collaborated with leading industry figures including David Collins Studio, Philippe Starck and Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, contributing to prestigious interiors worldwide. The studio has also been commissioned to create bespoke lighting for landmark destinations such as The Savoy, The Dorchester London, St Pancras Renaissance Hotel and Chiltern Firehouse.

Working with respected, award-winning designers including Autoban, Michael Verheyden and Stephane Parmentier, CTO Lighting continues to bring depth and character to its collections. In 2016, the brand opened its first exclusive London showroom, offering a dedicated space to present its work. Today, the collection is distributed globally through leading design-led retailers and specified by international interior designers and architects.

Avoid abrasive chemicals, sprays or harsh cleaners; if a mild cleaner is necessary, apply it sparingly to the cloth first and then wipe gently.
