Nigel Cooke
Nigel Cooke was born in Mirfield, Yorkshire, with a natural talent for art running through his veins. After leaving school, he joined the Merchant Navy, gaining experiences that would later shape his creative vision.
Early in his career, Nigel worked as a resident caricaturist and entertainer at Butlins. He went on to open caricature concessions at Blackpool’s Central Pier and Pleasure Beach, the Trafford Centre in Manchester, and Alton Towers.
He also contributed as a character designer for Hong Kong-based C.I.M International and continues to be a member of the National Caricature Network in the USA.
Over the years, Nigel has sold paintings worldwide, with particularly strong demand in the UK, USA, and Far East. After perfecting his signature drippy style, he has become one of the UK’s most admired contemporary artists.
