The Quiet English Lands by Kimberley Harris
Hand-fabricated in the UK | 3–4 weeks
Created by British artist Kimberley Harris, The Quiet English Lands captures the gentle stillness of the countryside through layered texture and softened colour. Broad passages of paint suggest open fields and distant horizons, evoking space, air and unspoken calm. The work feels grounded yet atmospheric, offering a quiet pause from modern rhythm.
Harris’s considered use of tone and surface rewards close viewing, with subtle shifts emerging gradually across the composition. Neither literal nor abstract, the painting balances structure with emotion, inviting reflection rather than narrative. Poised and contemplative, this original artwork lends warmth and understated elegance to living spaces, studies, or carefully curated gallery walls.

Artwork by Kimberley Harris
One of Kimberley Harris’s earliest memories is of being taken by her father—an avid admirer of Impressionist art—to a JMW Turner exhibition at the Tate Gallery. That formative experience sparked her determination to paint, leading to a Diploma in Art and Design in 2005.
Her practice was renewed in 2014 after meeting a respected artist who introduced her to oil painting and the palette knife. Through this process, Kimberley Harris established a distinctive visual language of her own, inspired by the natural beauty of the countryside that surrounds and informs her work.
