Memory Remains In The Light by Kimberley Harris
Hand-fabricated in the UK | 3–4 weeks
Created by British artist Kimberley Harris, Memory Remains in the Light reflects on the quiet persistence of recollection as it lingers within shifting colour and form. Soft tonal layers and restrained gestures suggest moments held gently rather than defined, allowing memory to surface without certainty. The composition feels calm yet resonant, balancing lightness with emotional depth.
Harris’s nuanced handling of surface and colour creates a sense of slow discovery, rewarding prolonged viewing. Subtle transitions emerge over time, giving the work a reflective, almost meditative quality. Poised and understated, this piece brings warmth and contemplation to living spaces, studies or thoughtfully arranged gallery walls.

Artwork by Kimberley Harris
One of Kimberley Harris’s earliest memories is of being taken by her father—an avid admirer of Impressionist art—to a JMW Turner exhibition at the Tate Gallery. That formative experience sparked her determination to paint, leading to a Diploma in Art and Design in 2005.
Her practice was renewed in 2014 after meeting a respected artist who introduced her to oil painting and the palette knife. Through this process, Kimberley Harris established a distinctive visual language of her own, inspired by the natural beauty of the countryside that surrounds and informs her work.
